Who is Highline Sounds?

And why do I care?

Simply put, Highline Sounds is a collective of talented producers. It was founded by two buddies in Penn State (Amplicity and Chucky Charmz) who had started producing hip-hop together. The duo called themselves Highline Sounds. They did some collaborations with local Penn State hip-hop lyricists, such as their good friend Ntune. The duo produced all different styles of hip-hop beats. This is when Amplicity realized that there was more to this than just a college hobby with a friend. He wanted to make Highline Sounds a brand which would represent diveristy and talent amongst digital music producers.

Quality production is undervalued in today's music scene. Most DJs barely do anything but simply play tracks and crossfade into the next. A lot of the more poppy producers rely on the same style over and over again for track after track. This is what separates us, and them. Since the inception of Highline Sounds, Amplicity and friends have produced everything from downtempo to moombah/trap. We collaborate with one another to create beats and tracks that hit the soul in a tangible way. We don't make whack tracks, and we actually do something when we DJ. We are Highline Sounds, and we make fire music.
